First Global Education is a free, globally-inclusive school built to be safe for children and adults alike. This policy explains what we collect and what we don't.
What we collect
- Your first name and age band — captured when you enrol, so the tutors can address you by name and pitch lessons appropriately. You may use any name you like.
- Your Student ID — a code we generate so your progress can be recognised across visits.
- Lesson progress and accuracy — which lessons you've done and how you did, plus the tasks you complete and the artifacts you produce, so they can go into your Skills Passport.
- A device identifier — a random ID stored on your device, used to link progress to your Student ID. It is not your phone number, advertising ID, or anything that identifies you personally.
- An optional parent/guardian PIN — stored only on the device, in hashed form. We never send it anywhere.
What we do NOT collect
- No camera or photo access for observation — the camera is used only when you choose to scan a printed page (one snapshot, on your tap). We do not watch faces, analyse expressions, or record video.
- No microphone recordings are stored or uploaded — speech practice runs entirely on your device. Audio is never sent to us or anyone else.
- No advertising, no trackers, no selling of data — ever. There are no ads in this app.
- No precise location.
Children
This school is designed for use by children with the involvement of a parent, guardian, teacher or NGO worker. We collect the minimum needed to run the lessons, we don't show ads, and we don't build profiles for marketing. A parent or guardian can review or delete the learner's data at any time using “Delete my data” in the app's Settings.
How your data is used
Only to run the school: to greet you by name, save your place, show your progress, and issue your certificate or Diploma when you earn it. We do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties for their own purposes. A small cloud server stores your progress and serves lesson packs.
The website
The website (this site) has no login and keeps no progress — it's read-only previews of lessons and information about the school. If you take a lesson in the browser, it runs on your device; nothing about it is sent to us.
Deleting your data
Open Settings in the app and tap “Delete my data”. This removes your profile from the device and asks our server to purge your records. You can also email us (below).
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and note it in the app.
